I thought that this “Grow Model” might be helpful to focus on. I found that when I started coaching and aiming for financial freedom that this helped focus the mind and was easy to remember.
G = goals
R = reality
O = options
W = way forward
Goals
This simply represents whatever goal you are trying to achieve. You may want to lose move house, change career, save money for a holiday etc, children’s education/university fees. You may be needing more money in your retirement. Identifying your goal helps you to visualise it, make it real and achievable.
Reality
Identifying your circumstances, resources and/or obstacles provide the realism. Your reality is not unlike your environment from the Logical Levels in that it identifies what’s helping and what’s not, in your current situation. The reality from the recession is that you require an extra income.
Options
Having decided upon your goal and identified your reality, it’s then time to look at all the options that are available to you that may help you achieve your goals, so click on the link below to make these options possible.
Way Forward
Also called Will, this determines how much motivation you have to achieve your goal and the actual steps you would be required to undertake in order to achieve your goal.
The Grow Model
Goal – YOUR goal what are you seeking to achieve? Is it financial freedom to make your own choices?
Reality – Have you wasted opportunities or had some amazing ideas that you never acted upon. The reality is that you could do the same here. You have the resources – you have wonderful communication skills, are motivated and have tenacity and leadership skills - but are you the potential obstacle? Are you unable to get out of your comfort zone?
Options – Do you want to waste this opportunity as you have everything you need to progress. You have support and a team who let you bounce your ideas around with them. I really want you to succeed with this business and will be here to help you – as long as YOU put the hours into working the system to produce the results!
Way Forward – The steps you actually need to take to make this happen is to just take them. Get out there and do this. Focus on your goal and take one step toward it. The other steps will naturally follow….. AND the money will follow.
